Rhodes Baked Bean Factory
New Baked Bean Factory in Gauteng

Appointment: Electrical and Mechanical Engineer
Appointed as the Electrical and Mechanical Engineer for a new 2500m² bake bean factory in Gauteng. The factory was designed to produce up to 500 cans of bake beans per minute.
The services provided for the electrical installations included electrical reticulation, electrical distribution and energy efficient LED lighting. Simulating software was used to ensure sufficient light levels and compliance.
The services provided for the mechanical installations included a dedicated state of the art fresh air system delivering more than 30 000 litres of filtered fresh per minute. An extraction system was also incorporated to extract steam at multiple points.

Sishen Mine: Closure Report

Buro Tech Consulting Engineers was appointed as the Electrical and Engineers to conduct a post-mining land use feasibility study for a mine in Sishen, Northern Cape.

The outcome of the report determined that the total of 271 MWp solar PV can be introduced on top of the mine's Tailings Storage Facility.
